(While visiting a Kindergarten class… I wrote)
Where have I been all this time
I have been looking for wisdom among the elders of town and sea
Today as I sit in a room full of respectful and respected souls with bodies around five years old
I realize Wisdom and kindness comes in all sizes and shapes
The eldest of the group is a teacher over a few decades old
Her patience fills the eyes of every child soul
She’s reading a book about a fish called Big Al
but in reality she was guiding the children through the seaweed under the sea
She shows the children the tricks of the puffing fish
I now know what the author of the book ‘all i really needed to learn I learned in kindergarden’ mean
I have never seen so much composure and grace in even the boardroom 2 levels away
The energy and synergy
The respect and Patience welcomes individuality and growth here on earth
Now the kind gentle teacher is talking about how we can make good freinds
When all the kids get excited and start talking all at once
Each child’s voice is somehow heard among the crowd
Never not even once was someone told to be quiet or keep their views and voice to themselves
There is a lot of show and tell but also a lot of quiet guidance
without a vowel pronounced or heard
So many voices
So many listening hearts
So many wise souls
At the end of the story of Big Al each student was assigned to a certain part of the world
The green table which is the field
The blue table color of the sea
The kitchen table where food is prepared for the heart and soul
I sit and wait for my name to be called
But I sit and sit
and I realize I have to learn a lot of gentle rules before being allowed to swim in this sea
I feel blessed to have been allowed to watch here and learn and write
I hope with time I can become as wise as the one girl with the big pink bow
that lent me a smile and then took the hand of her teacher and went on her way
What a beautiful sight
This sea scape

There was so much in the simplicity and the sweetness of this poem. I love the title so much. It is so poignant. Only you are able to see with so much insight into the hearts and souls of children and elders alike. You are able to see without filters into the very depths of their beings. That is a gift Bahareh Jan that only a few in this world are able to receive and to give. I love this sea scape you paint for me to see. I love the insight you visualize for me to see. I learn so much from you. You help me see and grow. Thank You.

Dearest Friend and you are a mirror to all that i see and write. Indeed you are right there is so much with in the hearts and souls of children and elders alike, it is beautiful when we see each other’s light. And we do grow more internally and we shed this beauty out to the world. I reach out to your kind and aware heart and I thank you for taking notice of the ant on your path and also of me on your path. Thank you for being my travel companion on this journey.
