Earth Day 2012: Mobilizing the Earth with a Poem

Earth Day 2012 Mobilize The Earth
Earth Day 2012 Mobilize The Earth

Let us say that we each wanted to make a vow today
Let us say that we each wanted to hold a hand today
Let us say that we each wanted to plant a tree today

It is really in the reality of accepting that we are not doing favors for others
but only in receiving that we can do the most good each and every day
It is in giving that we receive
Each and every day we can be saving the Earth with the realization that this is home
Each and every day we can be saving our home by keeping it clean
We can use one voice and recite fancy lyrics about sustainable this and that
We can talk about renewable energy but why not just initiate talks of less energy use

There are those who  say: we must appreciate our planet and demand its protection
For me, it makes so much sense to say “Please protect yourself and the air around you
for that is the planet and that is your home and that is YOU”

The slogan says: “Together we will Mobilize the Earth on April 22 and Demand Change”
The poet says: “In Oneness there is always Light and there is always Change”
The Earth is Mobilized by actions that are led by words, so what will you be doing today?
